About Biotechnologies

Biotechnology is currently one of the priority scientific directions of innovative development of the Altai Territory and great attention is paid to its development. In recent years, the Altai Territory has passed the path of global qualitative transformations and reforms that have affected the regional economy to a greater extent.

The basis for the development of the bioindustry in the Altai Territory is not only rich raw materials, but also the corresponding infrastructure, including specialized biotechnological centers in regional universities and the Federal Altai Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnologies created on the basis of the region of scientific specialized institutions.

Our region is one of the first regions of Russia to introduce a cluster approach into the practice of regional management, which confirmed the optimal integration of resources of scientific and educational organizations and enterprises of the region.
